I find the figures on the integra's 0 - 100 time..a bit suprising ????

even though it is heavier than the previous model type R. Ummmm....I think the current type R, should still be a little better than a vtir shouldn't it???

oh, and 11L/100km in the city ???? WTF??

I agree with the plastic interior comment on the 200SX, that's what spoils it.

still if I had that much to spend, i'd consider buying a second hand yellow 2000 model type R :p

hehehe....or I'd just use it for mods for the integra and city t :p

Easy explanation. Our current Type-Rs aren't Type-Rs at all, they are the same spec as the RSX in the States.

While the previous ITR had three differences to the JDM spec; nose-cone, rear suspension and down four kw due to our fuels, the current version should have been designated a VTiR as all suspension is changed to a softer setting, the engine is a down a lot of power and the body is a lot heavier. Basically, Australia got shafted.

BTW - I drove one at a dealer a while back - it's a slug :(

slug huh ok...

yeah, I know its basically an RSX badged as a Type R, but with the Type R finishes inside. Real type R should be getting 160kw.

The one I drove just felt wrong. I know it's quicker than the SiR, but it didn't feel it and the thing just didn't rev out the way my brother's ITR did.

Suspension was sloppy, great on a city road, but put it into a corner hard and there was no feedback through the steering wheel - the earlier ITR you could just point and tell what the car was about to do. I didn't get to see the 6th cog on the gearbox - the dealer was looking at me strange every time I hammered the loud pedal a bit too much :) I have a feeling he knew I was just playing with it and didn't want to buy.

It's a nice car, but I'd rather the old ITR or the JDM (I can only guess that it's a damn nice machine). :)

I hope that's a mistake with the fuel economy - that's what I get with a 12 y.o. ecu when I wring the crap out of the SiR - distance driving, the economy is almost identical - but I have a 12 y.o engine - I'm certain Honda is more refined than that after a decade.

0-100 figures have to be wrong - no way is it slower than the VTiRs 'tegs and SiR. I know I crack 8 seconds easily to 100 and I know the tegs are as quick if not quicker and they haul away after that(actually, are we comperable to 100 - might have to test that out).

BTW - I have a feeling the things are quite porky - I'll dig out the brochure and see.

200SX for me - actually, I'd prefer an S14 or S15 Spec S - hell, even an S13 or 180SX over the new ITR.
