1992 S-10 Blazer

4.3L votex I replaced the 92 engine with a 1994 4.3L vortex and now I get a check engine light. When I run tests it said to check oxygen senser. I replaced the senser and the light keeps coming back and it will come on and then go off. The engine is starting to run rough and when I changed the plug: 1,3, and 5 had carbon, but the electrode were clean and the 2,4 & 6 were completely carboned and probably why it runs rough. Is there something missing on a 94 that the computer is looking for on the 92 or vice versa?

you had a 4.3vortec in the 92? was it tbi? try putting the cumputer from the 94 into your 92. check to see if your 94 requires more fuel pressure than the 92.

If he had a vortec in it there wouldnt be TBI.


You need the 94 computer.
