Hey Lads,
Anyone got some news on this? i.e. pricing, european release date?
http://www.honda.co.jp/INTEGRATYPE-R/about/index.html
It looks beautiful ! ! As long as the back passenger headroom is ok, I will probably go for one in a year or so.
thanks!
James.

The integra or RSX (I don't know exactly what it's called) isn't coming to europe (maybe in the future). Honda doesn't offer the integra because we get the Civic Type-R...
But who knows. The previeus teg wasn't meant for europe either, but it came after a few years...

Actually both of you are right! I think it´s called "Integra" in Japan and "RSX" in the US. So basically they are the same cars maybe with just some minor differences between the USDM and JDM version. But I dunno about that....

Now lets just hope Honda will accept the petition and take action in the near future
Not that I would have the €€€€€€ for the car :D

I really don't know that much about the US market, but I think for now the RSX type-S is the highest version availeble. I really don't know if the type-R comes to the US.

In the USA the luxurious division of Honda is called Acura. Acura makes the RSX. In japan, and anywhere in the world other than america, there's no Acura, and only Honda. The RSX is called the Integra in japan. The previous model of the Integra year 2000 and below, was called the Integra in the states, but the new model (DC-5 (RSX)) is still known as an Integra in japan.
Besides the obvious badges of Honda rather than Acura, the Type-R is a performance tuned version of the RSX.
The differences that I know of for a fact are:
Type-S
- Leather seats
- Cruise control
- Bose music system
- Low-wing spoiler
Type-R
- Recaro bucket seats (cloth), coloured either blue or red.
- tuned engine, 220 hp vs the type-s 200hp
- Type-R tall-wing spoiler
- low-profile tires, momo leather wraped steering wheel.
It's exactly the same base car frame, but while the Acura make is geared more at a balance between luxury and performance, the Japan make is geared towards racing enthusiasts.
There trim line-up is also different for these two markets.
Acura trims each have the option of leather seats or cloth seats, excepting for the Type-S, which comes only with leather seats.
the Type-R does not come with leather seats. Instead, Honda sells the 5gear AT/MT with leather seats.
Let's look at the 5AT/MT trim and what the different markets call it:
USA, Acura RSX 5AT (www.acura.com)
JAP, Honda Integra Premium iS (www.honda.co.jp)
AUS, Honda Integra Luxury (www.honda.com.au)
Now, in 2004, the Milano Red colour is available in the Acura make. Previously available everywhere else in the world, since the DC-5 came out in 2001.
Personally, I like the Acura. Then there's people who will like the Honda instead. That's how we are, typically. Always liking the other side.
Ofcourse, the Honda Integra's are all right-hand-drive.
I wish I could find an Acura RSX that is right-hand-drive. If anyone knows if Acura makes any of their cars in RHD configuration, even upon special request, please let me know. Why do I want Acura? Well. The luxury is so nice in the RSX's.
The two markets have ups and downs.
Japan takes the speed, and America takes the luxury. Even the american site displays a luxurious site on that car. You'll never get thru to read the japanese one, without astavista babel fish translator, and even then, hardly any pictures, and the Austrailan site isn't very interesting.
If you live in america, try to appreciate it that your country is very awesome. No one has everything, but america still owns so many asses...

If you look at the lights in the JDM DC-5 you'll also notice that the backing is black whereas in the USDM DC-5 you'll see it's clear.
There's also some funny orange thing infront of either side of the doors in the JDM DC-5. The honda logo is sort of squared, so if you tried to replace all the logos (where there is a groove), it would look unmatched, and from USDM to JDM logo conversion wouldn't exactly fit right.

You can get the new RSX in Europe. I've seen one in Belgium. There seems to be a dealer in Belgium who imports them.

Since it's an RSX, and therefore an Acura, is it also Left-hand-drive?
I'm trying to find an RHD Acura (Not Honda). I wonder if Acura makes any of their cars RHD for export to RHD countries.

Is the problem to registered RSX in Europe? I want to buy Acura RSX-S from U.S., but from 01 01 2004 all cars imported in Lithuania must meet the requirements of Europe standards.
So i don`t know Acura RSX is meet the requirements of europe standards or not?

I'm looking for Acura dealers in Netherlands. Does anyone knows if there exist?
I have an Acura RSX and I live in Montreal but I'll be moving to Holland so I need to know if there are dealers in Europe better if Netherlands.
