Possible Blown Motor

Hi, I bought a 98 cavalier 2.2 L about 8 months ago with 200,000 miles on it already, all highway miles..., After having it bout 5 months, I was driving down the road and i started hearing a clicking type of sound, then it started getting gradually louder all withing like 2 minutes to where now it is so embarrasing to drive because of how loud the clatter sound is, it isnt like just a regular tap, this is like a loud clatter, my car doesnt overheat, everything else looks good, just not sure what is causing the clatter, so lost and confused, if someone has any suggestions or answers i would appreciate any help...Thanks so much...Tyler (Shreveport, La) [email protected]
