Live feed

Just installed a stereo into my son's 1988 205XE, it needs a live feed connection to maintain the preset memory and clock - can anyone enlighten me where I could tap into . . . i.e. something nearby behind the centre console maybe ? And no, we don't currently have a Haynes manual.
