I hear ya on that. Thats why i'm taking care of my suspension and stuff, rather than looking for power right now. Just gonna get some basic affordable stuff for now, later i'll get the expensive good shit!!!!!!

yea, well im trying to save for school and a car, so i gotta make sure the car i get will do exactly what i want, i was really wanting an ls1, but at this point as long as its a v8 it will be ok, it just needs to be able to handle like i want it to thats all.

I believe 3rd gens handle alot better than 4th gens. Plus, if you got 3rd gen route, definitely try to get an Lb9 (305 tpi) or L98 (350tpi). They are good strong motors, can be fast with little money.

i think 4th gens handle better..the steering in my 4th gens feels so much stiffer and better than my 3rd gens....just my opinion

Tuned anyway. My suspension has been unattended to for God only knows how many years, my grandmas corolla handles better than it.

You should see the tires on my IROC. All i have to say is 18 years old. Suspension seems to be all original too, except for the 2 bilsteins in the back, which died anyways. Bushings are all hell, it's a very uncomfortable ride. It's like riding an ATV on a rock terrain, but i'll still love to drive it. One time when i came out of a gas station, i hammer the loud pedal and hit a small decline in the road, when i recovered, the my whole exhaust system hit the ground. All spring, no shock. Gonna fix that problem soon.

Bag91, you couldn't have said it any better. That's exactly what it feels like, a bouncy ball. I can't wait to ride in that thing with new rotors, brakes, calipers, shocks, springs, strut tower bar, adjustable panhard, tubular LCA's, poly bushing kit, new tires, and finally, 4 rims that rotate insync. She should run like a dream!!!!

If the grounds flat it corners pretty well, if bumps, youll see me bouncing off the onramp...... :grinno:

I've had that happen to me before. I took a turn kinda fast, the IROC was bouncing like fat kid looking at some cake through a bakery window.

I like the ride and handling of my car. I had eibach lowering springs and koni shocks on my old car and it handled great but the ride suffered when bumps came into the picture. But my car now with stock suspension take corners great and handles bumps a lot better. I just cant take turns as fast as i could with the other one. I drove my dads station wagon and took it around the turn not even really thinking and the tires started screaming a little and the whole car just rolled to the outside. It was kinda scary. I just was used to my camaro. If I had the chance and if i decide not to get long tubes, Id get the lowering springs and all but....eh....
