Just thought of something that Hubby didn't. DoH!!! Could it be something to do with the chip in the key- if there even is a chip? (happens with both sets of keys) Did he bypass this by wiring the starter the way he did?
Anyone know the fix if this is the case?

I'm having a very similar problem, just started today. As I'm driving, the alarm will arm itself. I can shut it off with the remote, but it rearms itself in exactly 70 seconds.
The only thing I can think of to avoid an expensive dealer repair is to disconnect the alarm system. Does anyone know if there is a specific fuse or an easy way to disconnect the alarm?

look under the dash, the one for the alarm is the big black box fuse. im not sure exactly which one it is though
