My emergency brake light on my dashboard just went on the otherday. It takes a little bit longer to slow down. I was wondering if it was brake fluid? Any suggestions?

You shouldn't be asking if its your brake fluid, your first step should be to get under the hood and check it, then report back here. If its low, you have a leak somewhere and it has to be looked at ASAP.

I checked the brake fluid and it is not low.

Well, in that case I would be looking very closely at the master cylinder. Get it looked at very soon, and I would advise you not to drive it before you get it looked after, as driving it this way with a low pedal is very dangerous.

Ok, I will check that out and get back to you.
Thanks.

If the emergency brake light is on, check the parking brake pedal and make sure it's all the way up. Reach down and pull it up with your hand. There may be a park brake cable stuck, very common if you don't use the parking brake all the time.
The light on the dash is dual function: The proportioning valve can turn it on indicating a hydraulic system failure, or using the parking brake can turn it on.
