This weekend

Anyone interested in a cruise somewhere?

I've got the weekend off. We can take it easy, and just hang out. Automatic vehicles allowed :)

Blue Mountains is looking good. I'm thinking maybe leisurely run Old Windsor Road, out through the back of Windsor, down the Driftway -straight as all hell and you can open right up (I can even point out the spot I flipped a Datsun 180B onto its roof) but not so long that people will get left behind though, then either left or right, left to Springwood which has some nice s-bends uphill and then maybe up to Katoomba or maybe out past North Richmond to Bells Line of Road and up to the Kurrajongs and onward (likewise has some twisty parts). Plenty of places to stop and eat.

Some good roads as I recollect and something a bit different from the coastal runs. Maybe make it a fun/quick run rather than a fast blast all the way. Doesn't have to be performance cars, bring whatever.

Any other suggestions?

Perhaps I'll take the city turbo out for a run :p jokes :hehehe:

Or there is always the other run, down the coast, up past minamurra rainforest to robertson and back. Ofcourse you have to stop at Robertson pie shop :licker:

I've heard that the Robertson run is pretty good - just tends to get crowded on the weekend. Dunno from personal experience though.

There is also the short drive down to the dams near bargo... Great photo opportunity for the cars. I've taken some really nice pics there before, and its a shortish drive.

Getting a bit dusty in here and I've noticed a few spiderwebs around - I think this place needs a few thousand volts to the frontal lobes to get it going again :)

We took a drive out to La Perouse, then got hit by the gail forced winds.... stopped at Brighton for a Coffee, and were thinking about heading to Bargo to check out the dams, but traffic and light was going, so ended up going to the Olympic Park, and tried to take some photos.

Plenty of cops about today. We saw a starlet, or pulsar giving it a bit, out of the Novotel Car Park, and seconds later, this unmarked cop car with the siren on....hahaha.... funny :p

Yeah - I should have thought to take the old Mamiya with me and pop it on my tripod - oh well, there's always next time :)

Its not good enough that we have a pro shot of the AJC car in the living room, without atleast having a decent shot of my car blown up somewhere :p

Yeah - it's been a while, this time in Victoria (no "I told you so" thank you Q ;) ).

Coming back out from Healesville through Toolangi forest and then out to Seymore I was punting around the curves following an old Commodore about 500m in front - a group of about 30 motorbikes went the opposite direction followed by a red falcon XR8. Suddenly the falcon stops and u-turns. I get a gut feeling and look at the speedo - 120. 125 bucks later (he only trapped me for 116 but dropped it to 114 to make it cheaper - Vic cops can be nicer than NSW). The Commodore bolted away but he had it's plates anyway. Sigh - I wasn't even thinkg of speeding either - I was legal 90% of the time. Oh well - wonder if I'll lose points. :bloated:
