If you dropped a stock SR20DET GTI-R in a B13 that if tuned right you can bump the HP of the stock engine to 50 to 60hp. True?

I'm going to go with true, because my buddy has a 1.8T GTI and with just a chip (a real chip that costs $500, not ebay resistor) you can gain 50HP and 50-60TQ, it's basically the first mod anyone with one does if they aren't swapping to a bigger turbo.

Yes, all you need is a boost controller and a JWT ECU. But with 260hp in a B13, you're going to need to do some tranny work and probably a new MAF. Also, on any other DET you'd need to upgrade the injectors too, but the GTi-R's will be up to the task.
