Sirs,
I have a 1988 Bonne and the antenna motor, when i connect it to the power, runs continuously and the antenna doesn't move.
I was thinking of spraying it down with PB Blaster( greatest stuff ever made) and seeing if it can manage to loosen things up a bit. But I don't want to damage the electrical components.
Any ideas as to what the problem is?
Thanks,
-A

There is a plastic toothed cable that is conncted to the antenna mast. This cable is drawn through the motor making the antenna go up and down. THey are pretty common to break, or get a tooth or two knocked out, which will cause the antenna to stay put while the motor runs. Some GM antennas have replaceable masts, but there is no part number listed for you car. To fix it, you'll have to replace the entire antenna.
