I think my factory exhaust is on my truck thinks its one pipe coming off engine into 1 muffler and then splits into 2 outlets, but which muffler works best an sounds the best without inside the cab noise, and can i do this myself?

I have the long (26") round Gibson muffler, 3" pipe in and 3" single pipe out. Has worked well for over 200,000 miles.
Just a nice tone in the front seat. A little more noticeable (louder) in middle and rear rows of my Suburban.

I have a '00 Silverado.. I just took off the muffler. I just had them put in a y-pipe so that I can have the dual pipe comming out the back. It sounds awesome and you do not get the re-verb cab noise like you get with performance mufflers.
