both of my power windows are stuck in the upright position.
I checked the wiring and the switches. ground is ok, switches are fine. I applied 12V directly to the switches and the windows are working.
on both sides 12V is missing, the circuit braker in the fuse box is ok, I exchanged it, and 12V are avaliable at the circuit braker. I guess there must be some connector between the fuse box and the door switches, which is corrodet?
I got a copy of diagram already, which helped me a lot to check, but now I am stuck.

Welcome to the Forum!
Did you check the condition of ALL pins where the circuit breaker plugs in? It sounds like 12 Volts is coming INTO the socket, but is not coming out.
From the output of the breaker to the switches are 2 separate connectors - one going to each door. They are supposed to be 16 pins each and are located behind the right and left side kick panels (the plastic trim pieces in the foot area).
I would take off the right side (passenger) kick panel and look around in there.
Please let us know what you find.
Take Care,

Haha,
I found it. On the passengers site, below the carpet the main cable tree is located. To whatever reason some of the cables are splitted, let me say: from 1 incomming 2 outgoing just by climping or soldering.
Can you immagine what will happen if you have water on that side below the carpet. this will suck in the badly insulated connections and over the time, even if the water is out, you will get a nice corrosion of the cable conectors. In this case the power windows main 12Volt was corroded/ fallen a part. So there are no plugs to look for just looking for the cheapest way of cable connection. By the way there are much more such type "connectors" in that aerea of in the tree. Which can cause a lot of intermitting errors as in the airbag system, wich I will look for next.

Thanks fips, good input. Just to point out this is for a 1999 model...which must probably be representative of 1997 to 2003..2004? Was there any possibility to take a picture? These questions come quite often...

Well I found the a similar thing on my 99 Venture. However this splice was on the driver's side. The wiring harness is located in a recession in the floor, that seems to also attract any water.
It was 2 yellow to 3 yellow, spliced and taped with black electrical tape (looked like duct tape). However, it was totally disintegrated. So I re-spliced it and it still did not fix it. Not sure what's happening. Also there is no yellow in the power window switch module nor the power window motor.
Any pointers would be good.
