condensator

Hi, have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with 66,000 miles. Am thinking about putting a condensator on it that attaches from the PCV valve to the air intake manifold. It's supposed to trap hydrocarbons and waste gases, purifying the air before it goes back into the engine--extending engine life. Also supposed to improve gas mileage. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks for any help.

Complete waste of time and money. The pcv's job is to deal with the excess combustion gasses present on all engines. There's no way in hell the above contraption is going to extend engine life, add fuel mileage, or anything else! (I take it back, it will guaranteed lighten your wallet.)

The best thing you can do for mileage, engine life etc is REGULAR MAINTAINANCE. Keep the oil and changes every 3000 miles, run clean air filters,tune it with quality parts, change the pcv per the schedule and forget about hyped stupidity. No cow magnets, Tornado's, magic potions and the like.

I agree. This device is a scam.

Crankcase gases get burned in the combustion chambers specifically to reduce emissions from partially burned hydrocarbons.

They have a negligable effect on engine life and fuel economy.
