Heater Problems

Nappy Hew Year People,
Hey check this one out. I pulled the heater core out of my 94 z-28 today. I flushed it and re installed it and the heat now works sporadically. some times It blows hot air and other times its not. I am puzzled now. The heater control switch is working fine . Can anyone who has been through heater issues with this car please advise. Thanks and keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down . Heater Nightmares.

If you car has a heater control valve I'd try replacing that. They are located in the engine compartment and have the heater hoses and a vacuum hose going to it. When A/C is selected the valve actuates (vacuum from A/C controls) and lets the hot water bypass the heater core.

Did you flush the two hoses to the heater core?
