right, all 14b,16g,18g, turbos come with a tdo5 turbine wheel that lets you swap out different center sections while retaining the same turbine housing.

Not all tdo5's are created equal. The turbos used on evo's 4-8 spin the opposite direction.

If you are turboing a Civic, I dont think it matters which way the turbo is oriented as long as you can still get all the piping to it and you have a manifold you can bolt it onto. Its backwards from a DSM turbo, so it wont work without a lot of unneeded modification on a DSM.

dude i have a td04 from a gst and a td05 from a gsx i wanted something bigger how is that a bad deal?

No it was a bad deal, you overpayed. If it's for a civic I suggest asking in the civic forums. Noone in here is supposed to know what or will not fit your car.

The motors are flipped in the Evo's so the turbo is backwards. But, he should still be able to use it if he just reroutes his piping to his intercooler and uses a Maf Translator so he can just stick a filter right on the turbo... Shouldn't that work?
***EDIT***
Opps, I missed that it was for a civic... If thats the case then it shouldn't matter as long as you can get it to bolt up to your manifold.

Because first of all he said he never turned the boost up WTF why is he upgrading then??? so number one he is fucking full if shit.. Number two like said above you payed WAY to much for that shit..
Soo you have a tdo5 why did you get another??? :screwy:
That tdo4 would give you more than you need.. trust me i gave my stock 14b to my brother that has a CRX and he is nowhere close of maxing that shit out.. You have to think man people have hit 11's with that turbo in a car that weighs alot more than yours does..LMAO or are you planning on twin feeding the evo turbo with the others LOL

can that td04 push of 400 hp? be cuz my friends civic has a muich biiger turbo then that and pushes 500 soo
Thor06

Actually a 14b has gotten into the 10s. Going by the numbers on the compressor cover isnt a good idea. 16g's, 18g's, and 20g's all have tdo5's right? Theres a pretty big difference between a 16g and a 20g.

you better be building your motor if you are looking at anything close to 400 LMAO your motor could not handle 100 extra hp..... you would blow the head threw thew the hood and all your rods out the block!
Question for you you friend has this HUGE turbo right when does he spool it with that lil 1.6??
Any way you got the info you asked for you got ripped off!!
Good day

Wow, easy mitsu_eclipse95gst. All he said was his friend has a Civic, yes they come stock 1.6, but they have like 157 different engines they can drop in, the b18 being one of them. A 500 hp turbo, especially BB, can be spooled on a 1.6. I saw a video of a crazy modified Del Sol pushing, no pounding 613 hp to the pavement on the b16. I think ~$300 for a 16g is about right, big 16g's are $500 on SBR and I'm pretty sure a evo 8's 16g is bigger than the "big" 16g.
