Welcome to AF lobshtahman
First thing to do is check for codes by cycling the ignition key on/off 3 times and leave it on the 4th time. You should get the check engine lite to flash and or the code to come up in the odometer display.
The flashes are 2 digit codes with short pauses between the two digits and longer pauses before the subsequent code is flashed. The last code is the "55" or end of codes....
The voltage regulator is in the PCM - computer and not replaceable seperatly.(bummer) but likely is not the cause of your problem.
Codes first and then someone will have a direction to head in to help you.
At the same time, hows the battery terminals for corosion?? Take the battery posts off and clean them up - just good practice to do this from time to time. This might fix you up by it's self. - AND -
How old is your battery??
