94 GTP wiper assembly

I have a 94 GTP 3.4L. I replaced the wiper motor but for some reason I cannot get the proper range of motion out of the wipers. Wiper movement is only about an inch.

The wiper transmission may be binding, causing the motor to shut down, or you may have installed the wiper motor improperly. Check your repair manual and make sure you had the motor aligned properly prior to installation.
