I have Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve on in the background and it's good to see Dick Clark is back. He suffered a stroke late last year and was unable to be in last year's show, a first in the history of that program which dates back to 1972. The stroke affected his speech, but he still has what it takes to host the show. Watching Dick Clark on New Years' Eve is a mainstay in America, like county fairs in the summertime, fireworks on the 4th of July, and pumpkins for Halloween. I hope he is able to continue to host the show for many years to come. It's good to have him back!

You're right! I just realized they both started their stints back in '72. I remember watching it back then in the early '70s, when Bob had black hair! Now when I see clips of the old shows, and they are giving away an AMC or a Ford Pinto, I chuckle

I really can't stand Dick Clark. I don't know why but there is something about him that erks me. They should have Bob Barker host New Years Eve.
**Note**
I totally missed it all. Slept from 8pm to 11 am.
