Alternator Overdrive

I bought an alternator overdrive pulley from speedfreak racing. First off it took them two weeks to ship it but once they did it reached Michigan in two days (from Toronto, Ont.) I was mad about that but then it didnt fit. The pulley is a lot smaller though. It actually fits inside the opening of the original and it is about half the weight. The pulley is the right width and tooth count but the offset is not enough and it rubs the alternator when I put it on. It actually wont slide on the alternator shaft enough to even put the nut on either not that it would do any good because it binds up. I dont know what to do now.

You are the first person I have heard that had issues with the alt OD pulley. Get in contact with Steve and tell him your issues. He should be able to help you out.

I guess I will do that. I do have some time right now. It is going to be a while till I get my car running again. I am in the process of rebuilding the transmission and a few other things. It kind of sucks that something else has to go wrong like that.
