Hi everyone, my first post. I have been searching thru the forum looking for help and found a lot of good leads but no solution. I am 54 years old and work on cars all my life. I have a good shop etc. and generally know what i am doing, however this is my first Honda. I took the engine etc. out of a 91 HF with PGM FI and put it in a 90 DX, both stick shifts. I followed all available instructions for MPFI swap, used all the right parts and triple checked everything. The car will not spark at the plugs. I have power to the distributor and get a code 8. I pulled the C plug on the ECU and have continuity thru the dizzy at C3 and C4 and at C1 and C2. No ground path at any connection. The dizzy case has continuity to the battery negative. I put in a new dizzy and no help, it still will not spark at the plugs. Any ideas???

Thats a very good idea. I would love to talk to the design engineer but i would probably have to find an interpreter. Anyway, out here in the boondocs we dont have a lot of expertise at the local dealership. just part changers at $70 an hour and hundreds of dollars worth of parts. I have seen this same problem on other posts, but no fix, and we need to find the solution for the next guy this happens too.

isnt there those two wires, that if you have to wire into the dizzy, that if they are switched around, then it will cause a no spark problem?
also, like previously said, double check your grounds, this will cause your car to not start.
are you sure you have the ignition timing correct?

I have checked grounds and have continuity back to the battery negative on all of them. Also continuity from dizzy case to battery negative. Cam gear and crank pully are located according to the book. I checked those two wires, C3 and C4, but will check them again and then switch them just to see. That is a good idea. Will let you know. Thanks for the help.
