Odd tranny problem

I've got this weird problem, When I have my hand on the shifter and I'm trying to get into gear, I can hear a kind of "whirrrrr" type sound like you can hear the gears spinning in the tranny. I only get this noise when I'm shifting, and once it's in a gear it's quiet again. What's wrong and how can I fix it?

it might be the clutch plate trying to engage properly, but im not sure.

yea i think crxlvr is 100% right because that same thing happened to me and then my clutch went out. Sorry, didnt mean to scare you.:devil: j/j :D

wow you mean i mighta learned something at the auto mechanics school:D

So does this mean that I might be needing a new clutch soon?
