Just out of college. Need reliable transportation to get to and from new job. Will be first car.

Am considering 97-99 Jettas. Is this a good choice?

yea, there nice i have a 97. just don't get automatic and you will be ok. im warning you dont go automatic!! a3 model year auto trans sucks, its better to buy a honda than a jetta with auto tranny.

Honestly if you want some power with good gas milage i suggest going for a gls 1.8t '02 and up because they did a major upgrade, but also try to get it manual because the tranny sucks for an automatic
