Hey guys!!
1999 Olds Alero 3.4L. My heater fan will only run on the lower speed settings 1 through 4 but NOT the highest setting! It's cold here now and would like to get my high speed setting back! Any idea's?

Check the HVAC Blower Motor fuse marked D in the passenger side instrument panel fuse box and fuse #53 in the engine compartment fuse box and make sure neither is blown first.

After that i would check the resister, had the same issue on my 99 alero with a 3.4. Go with what bob sad first, b/c the resister is more expencive, we want to make sure its not a fuse before you replace the resister.

there is a resisator inside the dash. It was like $90 to fix at the dealer due to labor.
Yet another olds issue! Unreal

Passenger front side, underneath the glove box. You have to remove a plastic cover. Once you do that you are going to see a round plastic housing. Screwed into the bottom of that is the blower motor resistor. I believe it's got a 15 pin connnector plugged into it. 2 small screws hold the connector into the housing. I would recommend removing the front passenger seat to prevent your back from REALLY hurting.
Hope this helps
