oil leak where filter scews on

hex screw leaking? tightened it stopped leaking but leaking again.

can't get to the bolts.

is this typical?

You need an oil filter housing gasket. You don't have to remove the water hose to replace, just loosen bolts, slip out the old gasket and replace with a new one from the dealer parts dept. I did a search on the net and found a how to tutorial and replaced mine 94 MGM myself, no leaks.
