intake sound......FREE!!!!

if yo ass is broke. and you want a sweet intake sound. there's a huge silencer in your bumper. there's a little tube that goes to it. either just take out the tube, or take out the whole silencer and you can enjoy a sweet sounding intake until you can afford the injen or aem. at 5000 rpm's the thing just screams.

Any pics of what to look for? I am sure that this would be a great help. We were looking for it and we could not find it. (2002 Spec V) I am sure that it is there, we were just not sure exactly where at.

no, i don't have a pic of what it looks like. let me see if i can describe it better.

1. look at your air box that holds the filter.
2. facing the car, look at the bottom right hand corner
3. there should be a black tube that is connecting the air box to the silencer
4. the tube goes down into the bumper
5. the tube actually has two inlets. (i guess if one gets stopped up for some reason
6. remove the bolt on the air box that attaches it to the body of the car (bolt is at the top right hand side of the air box)
7. lift up on the air box as you pull the tube towards the front of the car
8. the tube also has to come straight up to pull it out of the silencer in the bumper.

don't be afraid that you're gonna break something. all those pieces snap together. let me know if you have any more questions.
