2002 power door locks

I have a 2002 venture that I bought used. When the van is running and in park the doors will automatically lock without touching anything , but when you put it in gear it does not do it. Also you can hear the locks clicking like there trying to lock too. Any help would be appreciated.

How long have you had the van & do you have the Owner's Manual?

It may just be the programming of the lock system. If you have the manual, look under the "Personalization" section.
