Oil on spark plug threads

I recently removed a couple of my spark plugs to check on how they were doing (I installed a set of iridiums about 3 months back). Anyway, when I pulled them out, I had what appeared to be motor oil on the plug threads. The tips looked fine and did not have any oil on them, just the threads did. My engine is not leaking oil or anything like that, so I was wondering why my spark plug threads were oily.

did you put antisieze on the threads when you put the new plugs in? That would explain them looking wet, it is just grease...jj
