My Car crapped out

Well, my jag has finally reached the point of no return. I refuse to put any more effort into keeping the vehicle. It has been the biggest piece of shit I could imagine owning. It burns out bulbs, the alternator just died, the A/C was history (condensor and compressor both), the passenger window mechanism fucked up and wont roll down now, and the gas cap release is non functional now. And the check engine light has been on lately. The battery has been dying easily, and now it won't start w/o a boost. I've had the car since march. Carmax has given me the run around as far as fixing the problems. They refused to help me set up a payment plan even with warning that I would have trouble making my payments for a few months. They harass me every day for payment but they never once asked me how the car was running or if I was happy with the service. They sold the car to me knowing that the A/C was crap, they just charged it so it would sell. The tires have always had leaks, and it took them 3 tries to fix the oil leak. more later gotta go.

So you're going for a Corolla? At first I thought you were joking.

Dude, sorry to hear you got a lemon. Carmax is usually good for taking care of you, move your unhappiness up the management chain a bit.

But I have to agree with 2.2.....it IS after all a Jag. They're known to have electrical issues.

Meant to say that you should just take it to a Carmax and unload the bitch.

And oil leaks. Of course, it's made by a country that thinks boiling is a great way to cook food.

Ouch

if it's about being british then maybe you'd like to tell us about all the maintenance and reliability woes of those who own rolls-royce and bentley cars..?

in other words, shut up noob.

anyways yeah, I'm pretty sure the alternator died. Which caused problems with the battery, and is now causing the car to not start. The battery has been deep cycled about 4 or 5 times now. So I'm like fuck it. And yeah seriously I'm getting a 92 corolla. AND IT HAS A/C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooohooo!!

honestly, this isn't bad news for me. This is just peachy. I've been so pissed with the car lately I'm happy to see it go. I still love the S Type R's though. And I'd buy the new ones any day.

Is the car under warranty or no?

Depending on the year it's actually a Ford.

yea but ford's european division produces incredibly reliable cars, the focus is european. my friend had a standard-spec focus estate/staion wagon which by five years of ownership had 600,000 miles on the clock, never had a problem, not even a puncture. so i'm not sure why the jags, as a more expensive an prestigous car, would be less reliable. i'd never buy a jag, well i doubt it.

That sucks. You would except more from a car of that price $$. So, goodluck with the Corolla, never heard anything bad about them.

You gonna try selling the Jag? I kinda skimmed through this thread.
