4.3/283 transplant chevy 1500

i am in the prosess of rebuildind a 1996 1500 chevy stepside it has original 4.3 w/ a stick. my question is would it be worth my time 2 transpant the 4.3 with the 283 out of a 67 chevelle leave it manual tran.

I'm transplanting a 283 out of a 63 belaire in my black 88 in place of a 350, go for it man!

I hope you do not have emissions testing where you live, atleast not a tough emissions test. In some states you would fail miserably

no i dont have emisions in michigan its looking like a better idea the more i think about it
