Unsure of what to buy used, 964 C2 or E36 M3

I want a car that i can use on the track and use as a daily driver. E36 BMW M3 is cheaper and you can buy them with alot of mods already but a 964 has its advantages as well. Right now im leaning towards the 911 but I could still go either way. Im planning on spending anywhere from $15000 to 20000.
