Sentra electrical quandary

I have a '93 Sentra 1.6 and it's a strange one with a bad attitude. It has an electrical problem that prevents most of the interior elec. components from functioning; interior light, stereo, cig. lighter, dash clock, automatic seatbelt. The dash lights work but they flicker a whole lot. Luckily, the gauges work fine, so I never run out of gas or drive too fast without knowing it. Cruise control is a no go. Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, the wipers stay on until I take out the fuse. Can't say that I care too much for putting the fuse in when it rains, then removing it when the glass is dry. Bad switch there? Is there one common source for these malfunctions? What's up with this crazy thing??
