2003 Stereo Install

Hey. I'm new here, and I've tried to install an aftermarket stereo on my girlfriend's 2003 Alero. All the wires to the harness are correct, but I'm not getting a display. I am getting power, because the CD ejects. What am I doing wrong? Does something have to be reset? Please help.

I've seen a lot of view, but no one has replied. Is there anyone out there who has put an aftermarket stereo into an Alero????

Got mine installed at best buy, they had to use a harnes plus a gm antena wire to make it work. You might be able to ask them about it. Just a thought.

sounds to me like there is something wrong with the actual stereo deck and not your wiring...

i understand how the wiring works, but can anyone tell me how to take the dash off to install the deck itself, is there any screws that need to be taken off or does the dash just pop right off? any help would be appreciated.

The trim around the stereo head pops off. There are about three tabs on each side of the trim and two at the top. Be careful when you try and pry it off...the tabs can easily snap or you can easily put a crease in the dash if you're going crazy with a srewdriver.
