1993 camaro security light flashing and car wont start

security ligh t flashing constantly and car won't even try or atttempt to start i am stuck any help here would be greatly appreciated. thank you

you probably have a bad PATS key. Passive Anti Theft System. you may need to go to your local chevy dealer and get one made

could it be just the key or could it be something else like the lock cylinder or the system itself the pats system???

well it *could* be anything... but the key is the cheapest thing to try first... thats where i would start.
