Rear wiper/3rd light problem?

Evening/Morning folks.
92 roadmaster estate wagon, 5.7 all the bells and whistles possible.
Gate Ajar Light wont go off. Nor will the Rear wiper or 3rd light work.
Rear Defrost still works, so does the (lack of name) wiper fluid motor (still puts fluid on the window). Checked fuses, cleaned the Connection on the bottom of the window/top of door. I dont see any broken or streched wires.... I need this to work so i can pass inspection.

::edit:: The wiper motor isnt bad, periodically the wiper will work, but no the 3rd light, and ive replaced the bulbs in the 3rd light a few times.

Is the door tightly closed up and down and sideways?

Yeap........ Tried that first.

The wiper and 3rd light don't work if the car thinks the gate is open (your cruise control might not work either). Have you cleaned the connectors inside the 3rd-break-light housing?

Yes, i have cleaned the connections. And the cruise control still works.
Hmmm im lost.
