Coil over shocks are ok for extra weight carrying, not for fixing problems or achieving lift. They definetly can effect ride and are hard on shock mounts.
What are you trying to achieve, anyway?

Well I want a good lift for a good price, I know being cheap is not always the best way to go.
One of my friends told me that is a bad idea, I was just wondering what other opinions were just for the heck of it.

Careful asking for opinions.
They're like assholes; everybody has one!
