Security problem?

hi, I have a 1997 Park Avenue and when I start the car the odometer and PRNDL are blank, also if the headlights are off the tach, speedo, gas, and temp gauges bounce erratically, if the headlights are on the dash is dead and nothing moves, turn them back off and the gagues start jumping immediatly. I was playing around with it and after pushing unlock on the key fob with the car running everything went back to normal, but the next day same proplem started again. Car runs and drives fine, just no gagues or bouncing gages depending on the headlights. Any help would be appreciated, thanks:)
