Torque spec for spark plugs?

What is it you guys use to install them with?

The Haynes manual says to install using a tight fitting rubber hose to prevent cross threading, then tighten with a wrench.

I've heard others installing them hand-tight then with a torque wrench - well you can't get your darn hand in the tiny boot hole.

Any additional hints/clues to make this easier are more then welcome; I'm kinda nervous as we pulled one spark plug years ago to inspect them and it was a pain. After that, it went to the $$$ man to do, but he's gettin expensive.

I put a dab of never-seize on, then thread them in as far as they will go by hand using the socket w/ extension, then snap the wratchet on & snug them down.

I usually do hand tight (socket, attached to the extension and no wrench) and then give it a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn with the wrench.
