2001 TransAm Power antenna quit working

Hey guys.

Has anyone had the power antenna fail?

MIne has been working perfectly fine. This morning went I shut off the car, the antenna motor ran, but the antenna stayed up.When I turn the radio back on the antenna motor runs, but the antenna doesn't move.

IS there something that may have just come loose or is it a dead duck?

had the same problem, there is a line attatched to the antenna that conects to the motor, that is what makes it go up and down, that string has probly snaped. I had the same thing happen to me, it looks like fishing string but thicker. That string is only a dealer part also i think. Good luck with it.

yeah, its prolly broken. or if you're lcky, its off track. dont use the radio till ya open the thing up, cuz if its just off-track then u can put it back on and use it again..and needless running of the motor might just break the cable if it isnt already...

that happened to me so i just unplugged the motor and keep it up all the time

haha that works... i think thats what mine is doing also. :)
