Hey all,
I have a 94 4 cyl.
Hows the best way to replace it ? (egr valve)
the egr valve is close behind the valve cover,
does the tube going down to the block come off too ?
it looks like the whole thing has to come off to unscrew the egr
from the tube .
any help is appreciated !!

May not be worth the extra effort to you, but I noticed when I changed the distributor O ring and had the distributor out, that pipe to the EGR valve was accessible at both ends.

I had an easier time getting a wrench on the pipe end attached to the block and took the egr and pipe out as a unit; its easier to get at the other end once its off the car.
You may be able to clean the egr rather than replace; clean out carbon deposits with carb cleaner spray and pipe cleaner or wire. Check to see that the plunger in the egr operates freely. You'll probably need a new gasket for the egr. Good luck
