Water Pump

I tried finding out the info on this, but no one seems to have anything wrong. My CR-V has being making, as my wife likes to call it, a helicopter sound. When I mentioned it to a Honda parts sales person he asked what car I had, and when I told him he stated, "oh!! that may be the water pump, make sure to bring it in" has anyone have had any problems with their water pump?? By the way its got about 8200 miles on it! any info on it would be great help.

It's an '05, it happens as soon as the car is turned on, but it doesn't seem to happen all the time. Or, at least I don't hear it all the time. I got under the car once and it seem to come from the front, I thought that it was something loose with the fan making it rattle. It does it at all speeds, idle and highway.

I have a 2006 CR-V that had the same noise mostly when starting the car and took it to the dealer who told me I need a new water pump. Has anyone heard about water pump problems in newer CR-V's?
