Boy oh boy. I replaced all the brake pads on my 02 Ody. The back brakes still squeak. I thought they might need a break in period but its been about two weeks. They are from O'Reilly Auto Parts. Any ideas as the wife is bugging me about this.

Try Honda pads. Different manufacturers use different materials to make a pad. Some are harder than others which can give you a squeek and some are softer which wear a little faster but won't squeak. did you check the rears also?

Originally I only had time to do the fronts. I used the same brand. The fronts didnt squeak. About a week later I replaced the rears. The feel is better in the pedal since then but the squeak persists. I thought maybe an adjustment on those little metal things on the pads or the ones in the calipers? I didn't use a cleaner on any of the rotors as I didn't see a value in it at the time. Could that help?
O.T. What is the correct way to fill your transmission fluid on this thing?
Thanks Lorunner for the immediate response. Your advice is always great.

2002 Odyssey, brake squeel. I just bought it, it has 62k on it. It had new front brake pads and rotors put on it, prior to my purchase. I put new Honda pads on the rear, and lubed up every possible place on both the front and rear brakes. Still squeels horribly. Should I throw away the front pads and replace with Honda pads? Even though the front rotors appear new, should I have them turned lightly to accomodate new Honda pads? Any help is greatly appreciated!! I too am tired of my wifes whining about the embarassing noise!!

Sounds like you have aftermarket pads. You can get away with just putting new Honda pads on the car. Assuming the brakes don't pulsate. If they do you might want to have them cut. But you can just throw pads on the car and be done with it.

Well, HONDA pads to the rescue!! I put on the factory pads, and instantly, NO MORE SQUEEL!! Momma is soooo happy!! (ME TOO). What a simple fix, and only slightly higher in cost than aftermarkets. The pads came with new spacers, lube, the whole nine yards!! That taken into account, a pretty good deal!!
