my heater fan stopped working a while ago, when i took it out to try fixing, it worked while facing downward, when i turn it rightside up to reinstall, it cuts off again. What should I do? Should I replace it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just replace it man, I got mine from advanced auto parts for 38 bucks. You've already done the hardest part by getting the old one out.

hmm I have an 89 civic, but the blower fan may work on the same principle...The problem I had was somewhat different, in which the blower fan only worked on certain speeds, you could try looking at the resistor that controls fan speeds, that might have cracked or corroded. that part costs ~35 to replace. i dunno. just a sugg. It's held down by two screws on the blower motor.

Thnx allstar, I was wondering where that was. Only my high works right now so I need to replace that resistor...
