72 super beetle wont start

i have a 1972 super beetle convertable. and i was driving one day and it was working fine after i parked it and it sat a day it wouldnt turn over it wont even make a sound. ive heard that the solinoids can get stuck and that that migh be the problem. if u have any sugestions please help. i know its not the battery and i know its sucking juice when u turn the key.

Eric - the "sucking juice" part of your query is a bit confusing, but I gather it's not even turning over, not a grunt? I had a similar problem with my 71 Super bug...... I fiddled with the wires & fuses but still no go until i looked under the back seat & there's a solenoid on the opposite side to the battery & blow me down, if there was a loose wire to the starter motor there & when I re-connected, she went like a charm.... mabe it - maybe not. Good luck!
