My buddy just bought this '91 4spd DX HB a few weeks ago for a pretty good deal even though the motor blew the 2 week he had it. It actually happened 2 days after the XSi motor was ordered so it worked out pretty good all things considered.
The plans are to swap the 170hp B16 and ys1 tranny using hasport mounts and linkage and since this is his only car right now we are in a hurry and the budget is tight so a running install is the highest priority right now but once it's running we will be adding more aftermarket parts as time progresses. well here are the first pics of the progress so far, comments welcome and appreciated.

he blew the shit out of #4 cylinder!>>>>Yep that he did
Ahhh, since this is an OBD 1 '92 XSi motor w/ ys1 tranny and not a first gen
:naughty:
I have the same setup in my Rex except I am running OBD 0 so what will happen is I will go OBD 1 now and my buddy will get my OBD 0 equip. So he will be OBD O and I will be OBD 1 (Vtec always kicked alot harder with my OBD 1 setup in my EG and my DA)
We went this route for the higer compression B16 and the bigger Ys1 tranny that corrisponds with the USDM GS-R so if something happens in the future then replacement parts are not to hard to find (unlike the smaller spline 90-91 b-series trans) My rex came with an LSD equipped trans but it was the 90-91 and needed 3rd and 4th gear sets so I had no way of affordably rebuilding it but it worked out because I already had my GS-R tranny in hand.

I am not sure about those bushings, your best bet is to contact energy suspension or prothane for an accurate answer otherwise start a new post so more people will see it.

VTEC larger than DOHC = 2nd gen. Other differences of course but this is easiest to spot.
