my wife is drawing a dog

she's drawing the charcoal base for an oil painting of a Bull Mastiff for a contest.

She was about 25 minutes into it

she painted a "dead" layer over the charcoal which is much like some of the artists on this board use. You know render in greyscale first then add hue with overlay layers or somethin like that. her dead layer actually contains blues and greens and it looks cool too. I think her dead layer was acrylic. The color is going on in oil.
