My car was running fine until i got a tune up now it spudders when accelerating above 40mph, so i took it to the place where i got the tune up and they said #2 plug was bad so they replaced all 4 and it still does it, i recently had my fuel filter replaced too which i told them, so I take it back to them a 3rd time and now they say I might have some water in the tank so they recommended some "dry gas" so I tried 2 bottles of it once when full and the other when below 1/4 of a tank and it still does it. any ideas ?

What year model? Did they replace the plug wires?

His profile says it is a 1997. I agree with you. I think they damaged the wires when they put in the plugs unless they replaced them, tool. It is almost always something ignition when they sputter under a load. I agree with you corning_d3. I think you're onto it.

I'd check the #2 plug wire. They may have pulled the end off of it when they changed it. Find another garage to go to after this :2cents:

I hope that the dry gas fixes it but didn't the problem start after the tune-up?

I say to put some double-silicon plug wires from AutoZone on there. Anything less, I can fry in 10 feet.

yes it did but the wires were on there before too, however I have been using gas from 3 different locations so...the water in the gas tank sounds possible so...

welll the verdict is in, i was driving around this morning and my "service engine soon" light came on so I take it in to the same place i got the tune up and they hook it up to the computer and my coil pack is bad so they replaced it with wires which were warrantied from before so no charge for them and now it runs like a champ.
