Hi,

At first sorry for my english.

A week ago my Malibu juste died on the road. I called the assistance and start up by boosting but as soon as we deconnected the cables, the car died again.

There was not possible to switch-on any light etc. , no power in battery at all.

At the garage they told me the alternator and baterry were gone and i replaced them.

This morning, I had difficulties to start. It took few secondes, the lights on the board were closed and all gauge needles
including the speed meter moved until "12 o'clock". I noticed too that my counter (km) was reseted to zero.

At the evening I couldn't start it at all. Very little power in the battery. I called for assistance and did a boost again. Car started
and I drove it for 50 metres before car died again. So we tranported it to a garage ( the same one) and tomorow il will be inspected.

Somebody has an idea what it would be. I juste replaced the alternator and battery so i'm thinking maybe my original pieces were good because my problem is not solved.

For some reason the battery is losing the power and the alternator doesn't charge it or what ?

Any help is welcome, beacuse they will tell me all kind of stories to make some more reparations and my knowlege about the car is very poor.

Thanks

Did you check the battery's terminals for corrosion?
