Having problems with my 2001 Jetta. It wont start at all in the cold. Whenever it gets warmer it will start perfectly but on cold days wont make a single sound. I have to keep trying for a couple minutes. Wait and come back like in 10 minutes and it starts up again. Whats the problem?

what motor do you have? i, have a 1.8t and i kinda had that problem,
my car would start and it sounded like the whole motor was gonna fall apart. i, ended up replacing the mass air and it fixed the problem.
i first experimented by unplugging the mass air and started it, and it started fine.
