i just bought a 98 honda civic dx...automatic..and i would like to know a few things..first..if i can ever swap engines to something more powerful..and if so..which one. or ones..second..if an engine swap is not possible..what can i do to make the engine i have currently more powerfull..cause i just dont feel no power coming from it..someone hook a brotha up

An engine swap is definately possible, and if you do choose to swap, any B series engine will suffice (a B series will get you about 160 hp). B series is the same engine in the civic SI and acura integra.

108 hp, I repeat, 108 hp, will not be fast no matter what you do to it, just enjoy your great gas mileage. You can install a turbo, but the cost to power ratio is way too high, an engine swap is your better bet both for price and power.

so having an automatic transmission.i can still swap engines and upgrade to say lets say the 1.8 liter. dohc.. or the dohc vtec?

yes, but you will most likely have to convert over to a 5spd
